ORIGIN OF MODERN COOKERY (SAINIK'S STORY)



Cooking has neither been a discovery nor been an Invention.It has been Evolution and Food has changed with Time and Societies.
Food is one of the most basic requirement of food was fulfilled.The accidental discovery of fire changed the whole Universe,and the way we eat food today started to take its shape and form.
After the colonies were built and the civilizations set in,the food started to take its form and with the divisions of castes and religion setting in,man started to demarcate the food as well.Food began to be classification as food for Warriors,Royal Cuisines,and Poor man's Food.Religious barriers prevented eating of Pork for Muslims and Cow for Hindus. kosher food are very strict food eating of the laws of Jews,Royal cuisine of Thailand,and Emperor's cuisine of China,and many others around the World have been Segregated according to caste and social status of the People.

Food grew naturally  in the form of grains and nuts and vegetables,but with the advent of technology in the sphere of  agriculture,Genetically Modified Plants known as GMP were added to the basket of Chefs.Various types of pesticides and insecticides and hybrid technology gave birth to new kind of vegetables and fruits that have been color and shape.

Now with Awareness of the harmful effects of Pesticides and Insecticides,people are going back to naturally produced  vegetables and fruits and that We now call as 'Organic Food' .Organic Food  has become a fashion statement and the same food that was once available naturally,is being purchased at thrice the price and so only rich and famous can really afford it this time.

Cooking moved from the Homes to Inns and then large Hotels,where people wanted to eat variety of products that were not possible to make at home or were cumbersome to prepare.The opening of more hotels and food joints led to competition and organizations started to look out to create more unique products to lure the customer and be on top of profitability.More and more companies came up with modern machine and tools to make these products more effective and less expensive to produce,this gave to rise to the modern cuisine that is  prevalent as of today.

As  we see how food has evolved from centuries,we do not really know where the future is going to lead us,who knows due to global warming and diminishing resources,may be food takes from of tablets of mineral supplements.However there is one thing for sure,for which chefs do not have to bother and that is whatever from the food takes,it will still be chefs who will be creating those delicacies.

CHEF'S TIP :-IF OIL FALLS ON THE FLOOR AND THERE IS NO TIME TO CLEAN,IMMEDIATELY SPRINKLE SALT ON IT.THE FRICTION WILL PREVENT SLIPS.
